Worship

What is worship? It is our response to God in light of who He is and what He has done for us in the Gospel. Worship is the way we acknowledge God as King and Lord of our lives. Worship involves every area of our lives and is more than just singing, but singing is an important part of our worship. Singing gives a voice to our praise and helps us express our praise to God.

What is the music like at Heartland? The worship at Heartland is "Gospel-centered" which means we want to focus people on Jesus. The church is a diverse people, so we sing music that is diverse from newer songs written by modern artists to hymns that have stood the test of time. All of these are led by our praise band.

Each Sunday we get the privilege to proclaim the praises of Jesus together. At the same time, we want you to be able to worship Jesus throughout the week. You may want to familiarize yourself with the songs we are singing on the upcoming Sunday. Below is a playlist of the songs we will sing this week. We also have a larger playlist with songs that we regularly sing on Sunday mornings that you can find on Spotify and Youtube.

I'd like to be a part of the Worship Team! How can I serve?

Worship Band

God has given people a variety of skills and abilities to use to bring Him glory and help others know about Jesus. Do you play an instrument? Do you sing? Our band leads Heartland each Sunday in praising Jesus together. We are always looking for people to be a part of a rotation of musicians and singers as we praise Jesus together. Contact our Pastor of Music, Logan Staley, to find out more about how you can serve in the Worship Band.

Audio/Video

We are thankful for our Audio/Video team that make sure the Gospel message is seen and heard each week. Each week a great team of volunteers make sure that everything is covered from song lyrics on the screen to producing the livestream of our Worship Gathering so that people who can't join in person can hear the Gospel message. We are looking for more people to help this team, and here's the great news...we will teach you everything that you need to know. No experience is required.
