THREE-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN (2023 - 2025)
Paul tells us in 1 Timothy 4:7-8, "Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come." One of the best ways to train ourselves for godliness is daily meditation on the Scriptures.
Below is our Bible meditation plan that takes us through the Old Testament once in three years and the New Testament once a year. There are about two chapters for meditation five days a week. Included with the meditation plan is a meditation method called the "Sword Method" which uses six questions to help us come to the main point and an application of the text.
Additionally, we want to help everyone succeed in training for godliness through meditating on Scripture by providing times where we can practice meditation together. Often times in the church we tell people to meditate on the Scriptures, sometimes we give them a tool, but very rarely do we spend time showing and practicing with one another on how to meditate. We are going to do this on Wednesdays at 11:30am during "Lunch with the Pastors" and on Sunday nights at 5:30pm in our Men and Women Impact Groups. We encourage you to come out during at least one of those times and practice with others on how to meditate on the Bible.
